This is to help us understand your photoshoot a little better. To maximize your time effectively during the consultation, we ask that you please fill out this pre-screening so that we have a baseline for the consultation.
Understanding Client Expectations
As a boudoir photographer, my first step in creating a successful and personalized photo session for you is to truly understand your expectations. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to bring them up in the consultation or via email.
Define client expectations.
Next, it's important to discuss your preferred style and theme. Boudoir photography is a diverse genre that encompasses various aesthetics, from sensual and romantic to bold and edgy.
I encourage you to share any inspiration you may have, such as mood boards, magazine clippings, or Pinterest boards. This will give me a clear understanding of your taste and help tailor the session.
Define the level of comfort
It's crucial to discuss your comfort level. Boudoir photography is a deeply personal and intimate experience, and it's essential to ensure that you feel at ease throughout the process.
By openly discussing boundaries and preferences, both you and I can create an environment that is both comfortable and empowering.
How revealing would you like your images? Check any that apply
Most Modest - some suggestive poses okay but would like to remain fully clothed
Suggestive - okay with exposing all the skin you'd expose at the beach or the pool. Breasts and genitals remain covered.
Risque - Nudity is present but not centered in the shot.
Most Daring - complete nudity and shots highlighting private areas are okay
Discuss the session location
Location is another crucial element of a boudoir session. Clients will be responsible for selecting and, if necessary, paying for the session location. Should the photographer be delegated to reserve a location that fee will be paid for upfront prior to the photography session.
Ask about any client concerns
My job is to exhibit your natural beauty. Often what we are insecure about is a beautiful feature worthy of being presented in the right way. For example, if you are worried about a particular body part, I’d like to discuss how we can use posing, lighting and props to accentuate your features positively.
Ask about boundaries
Establishing boundaries is another essential component of creating a comfortable and empowering boudoir session. I will never physically touch during posing. I offer suggestions, instructions or personally demonstrate. Clearly review my policies and procedures for maintaining a respectful and professional atmosphere. It is paramount that you and any company you bring feel in control of the experience at all times.
Discuss the level of discretion needed
I would encourage you to practice self-care in the weeks leading up to the shoot. You will look your best getting enough rest, staying hydrated, and maintaining a balanced diet. Please don’t think you have to lose weight or starve yourself for the best photos.
What would you like to wear? Choose all that apply.
romantic (jewel/pink tones, conservative, floral)
Fetish (black, strappy, sexy, leather, bondage, etc.)
Conservative (more covered)
Lingerie with interest (unique details and cutouts, styled with jewelry or accessories)
No Preference, Stylist makes recommendations
